Meet Cassandra Ladouceur- Owner/CEO of Light and Hope LLC

Our owner and CEO of Light and Hope LLC, Cassandra Ladouceur, recently sat down for an interview with Shoutout Atlanta. Read the interview below:

Shoutout: Hi Cassandra, what was your thought process behind starting your own business? Cassandra: My thought process behind starting my own business was simply to help people who God called me to help. In providing resources, jobs, education, and connecting individuals to communities who need help. I wanted to help provide jobs for individuals who are new to the job force, who are looking for a 2nd job or more hours, who don’t get the necessary chance at an opportunity and people who are looking to move up the ladder in their career.

Shoutout: Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others? Cassandra: Light & Hope LLC is a staffing agency that staffs healthcare providers we cater to providing jobs to CNA’s, LPN’s and RN’s but not limited to. We are looking to expand this year to different job roles and industries. I am excited to see the growth of the company and see how many companies, communities and individuals I can hire and help. It is not an easy journey but i stay consistent, do everything with integrity, and put God first in everything. One of the biggest lessons I learned along my journey as a business owner you will never know everything but you have to keep learning, growing, making an impact and helping others along the way that’s how you will always stand out. I want the world to remember my brand/ and my story as the woman who always kept God first, never gave up, and continue to make a positive/beautiful impact to the the individuals, industries, and communities my organization serves.

Shoutout: Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc. Cassandra: If I had a best friend that was visiting the city of Philadelphia, its a few spots that I would recommend. The restaurant’s I would recommend would have to be Booker's good for brunch. Frame is an American fusion style restaurant, and Amina, a black owned restaurant in Philly if you love some good soul food. Attico is a chill spot for great music and drinks. If you want to do to a nice rooftop lounge I would suggest Assembly. If you’re a person who is more chill and laid back and don't care for the party life, I would say go to Spruce Harbor Park. It's very nice, has different games you can play, look over the waterfront, and eat some good ole ice cream. Lastly, a good spa day would be a bonus at 4 seasons hotel downtown.

Shoutout: Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout? Cassandra: My shoutout would definitely go to the Most High Jesus Christ. Along the way I had some bumps in the road, discouragement, and some doubts. However, God kept reminding me to keep on going because what he called me to do is not an easy job but it’s worth it because I am helping his children. He never left nor forsake me in my journey. I would like to just thank him through everything because I owe him all of my success.
